I am Sukanth K (Kalivarathan), known artistically as Sukanth Original, an interdisciplinary researcher and artist working across my interests in AI, wearables, HCI and creative expression. I’m currently a Research Fellow at Lossfunk, where I research with a focus on human cognitive augmentation. I also research with the Fluid Interfaces Group at the MIT Media Lab, contributing to research on AR glasses and goal-oriented interfaces. Previously, I was a visiting student researcher, researching with HCIE group at MIT's CSAIL. Before this, I was with the HIVE Laboratory, an interdisciplinary HCI lab at Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. My research works includes developing an always-on AI for SmartGlasses (showcased July 2024, months before Meta and Google demonstrations) and spatially grounded AI for smart living spaces. I have also co-authored and developed research across core areas of HCI. In addition to research, I am also a verified music artist on Spotify, YouTube and other platforms like Apple Music, composing & producing music since I was 13. I also write always-on AI applications for current-generation smart glasses, that you can start using today!
