I am Sukanth K (Kalivarathan), known artistically as Sukanth Original, an interdisciplinary researcher and artist working across my interests in AI, wearables, HCI and creative expression. I'm currently a visiting researcher, researching with Human-Computer Interaction Engineering (HCIE) group at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)'s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL). Before this, I was with the Harmony, Interaction, and Versatile Exploration (HIVE) Laboratory, an interdisciplinary HCI lab at Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. My research works includes developing an always-on AI for SmartGlasses (showcased July 2024, months before Meta and Google demonstrations) and spatially grounded AI for smart living spaces. I have also co-authored and developed research across core areas of HCI. In addition to research, I am also a verified music artist on Spotify, YouTube and other platforms like Apple Music, composing & producing music since I was 13. I also write always-on AI applications for current-generation SmartGlasses, that you can start using today!
